Barbara Sistrunk is a native of Benton Harbor and a passionate advocate for improving the lives of underserved residents in the community. She is committed to volunteering and serves on many boards throughout the community. Barbara and her husband Jeff, enjoy spending time with their 4 adult children, 8 grandchildren and Yorkie, Bennie, in their blended family.
Over the past 15 years, Barbara has served in a leadership role at several non-profits in Southwest Michigan. Since joining Summit Financial Wellness in July 2019, Barbara has been able to get back to her roots and passion of building programs and direct services that can change the trajectory of someone’s life.
Barbara believes that strong community partnerships are the key to sustainable change. She believes in the power of education and the transformational results it can bring to a community.
Shelly Madison, the Manager of Programs and Operations at Summit Financial Wellness is passionate about the holistic success of our participants. She brings over 30 years of management experience in business, education, and nonprofit sectors. Her experience includes managing and training staff, establishing policies and procedures, teaching, recruitment, community outreach, marketing and communication and running her own successful business.
Shelly is a strong communicator and passionate advocate for collaboration and connecting people with resources and opportunities. She believes that hearing the voice of the people she serves is the best way to help meet their needs.
She returned to Michiana from the North suburbs of Chicago with her husband, and two daughters in 2014, serving community and enjoying the beaches in Southwest Michigan where she and her family reside. Shelly holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University in Telecommunications, Television & Film Production.
Stephanie Robinson, the Summit Financial Wellness Coach spent most of her life in Ohio, served in the US Army and moved to Benton Harbor Michigan two years ago. With many years of experience in education, Stephanie utilizes her well rounded educational skill set, goal setting and time management skills to enhance the lives of the residents of surrounding Berrien County communities.
She is committed to change one life at a time through hard work, dedication, and sacrifice. Stephanie is married and enjoys spending quality time with her three daughters, son in-laws and four grandchildren.
She has a Master of Education, M.Ed. Cleveland State University, Master of Family Counseling M.A from Liberty University as well as a Bachelor of Science Psychology B.S from Liberty University. Stephanie is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership.
